Install Workmate in Microsoft Teams
Workmate's Teams Store listing is still in review. Until it is approved, a Microsoft Teams administrator can add Workmate to your organization from its app package, a ZIP file you upload yourself.
Step 1 of 4
Download the app package
It's a ZIP file. Keep it as it is: Teams needs the ZIP itself, not its contents.

Need help?
I'm not a Teams administrator.
Send this page to your IT team. You can also request Workmate yourself: in Teams, open Apps › Manage your apps › Upload an app, choose Submit an app to your org, and select the ZIP. Your admin then approves it.
Workmate doesn't show up under “Built for your org”.
Admin changes can take a few hours to reach everyone. If it still doesn't appear, check three things in the Teams admin center: Workmate's app status is Unblocked, it's available to you, and custom apps are allowed for your organization (Manage apps › Actions › Org-wide app settings, under Custom apps).
Teams says the app already exists.
Workmate was uploaded before. Update the existing app instead of uploading a new one (see below).
How do I update to a new version?
Download the package from this page again. In the Teams admin center, open Teams apps › Manage apps, search for Workmate, open it, and under New version choose Upload file to replace the current version. Uploading it as a new app creates a second copy.
Teams says the package is invalid.
Upload the ZIP exactly as downloaded. Unzipping and re-zipping it, or opening it in another program first, can break it.
Workmate doesn't answer in a channel or chat.
Open Workmate in Teams and follow its welcome message to connect your account. Make sure Workmate's permissions were approved when it was added, then mention it by name.
Why do I get a 6-digit code?
Workmate couldn't match your Teams email to a Workmate account, so the code proves which Teams account is yours. One Microsoft organization connects to one Workmate team; if you were invited to a team, open the invite link first.
